Abstract: |
Objective: To evaluate the correlation of the videolaryngoscopy diagnosis of irritating chronic laryngitis associates the lapsing of I.B.P e: a) reason of the examination; b) graduation of the laryngitis; c) injuries associates; d) improves after the treatment. Material and method: Revision of 195 Medical videolaryngoscopy findings of the Center of Specialty New Quarter, with collection of information on the reason of the examination, severity of the laryngitis, and alterations associates. Carried through telephonic contact one year after the accomplishment of the examination to separate the patients in two groups: Group that I.B.P received and Group that did not receive I.B.P., and to verify improvement with the instituted treatment. Results: From the revision of 195 findings, they had been separate 65 (33.3%) patient ones with diagnosis of irritating chronic laryngitis, from which 38 (58.5%) had received I.B.P. The reason most common associate to the positive examination was the dysphonia. How much the presence of another alterations, most common had been the vocal nodules. The improvement of the symptomatology was bigger in the group dealt with I.B.P (65%), being p< 0,05. The improvement lack was bigger in the group not dealt with I.B.P. (52%), being p<0,05. Conclusions: a) Dysphonia was the main reason of request of the examination; b) The moderate irritating laryngitis was found; c) The presence of other alterations associates was bigger in the group that did not receive I.B.P d) the improvement from the symptomatology was bigger in the group that received I.B.P.
