TUMOR DE WARTHIN BILATERAL: RELATO DE CASO

Abstract:

OBJECTIVE: To tell a case of tumor of Warthin in bilateral parotid of a smoke, masculine patient, in the sixth decade of life. CASE REPORT: ELCC, masculine, 57 years, smoke has 40 years looked our service complaining of increase of volume in topography of parotid right without no signal or associated symptom has one year. Extreme sleepgraphy that disclosed formation to nodular hypoechogenic measuring 2,3 x 1,0 x 2,0 centimeters, of rough contours was requested, located in parotid right. It was directed for superficial parotidectomy with conservation of the face nerve to the right, not presenting no postoperative complication. Histopathology disclosed tumor of Warthin. Three years after, this patient returned complaining from increase of volume in parotid topography of left. PAAF was made guided for extreme sonography, that disclosed hypoechoic nodule of regular contour measuring 2,6 x 2,0 x 1,3 centimeters in parotid left. The material was sent for cytological and histopathological examination (cell block), that they had been compatible with tumor of Warthin. It was directed for surgery of superficial parotidectomy with conservation of the face nerve to the left. In postoperative the precocious one it presented seroma, that it was drained in doctor's office. Histopathological confirmed the diagnosis of tumor of Warthin. At the moment, patient meets in postoperative accompaniment. CONCLUSION: The tumor of Warthin is as more frequent benign tumor in parotid, attack individuals generally between fourth and seventh decades of life, mainly men, being associated to the tobaccos and in 10% of the cases is bilateral. The surgical treatment almost always has excellent result.
