CASE REPORT: FIBROLIPOMA OF LARYNX
RELATO DE CASO: FIBROLIPOMA DE LARINGE

Abstract:

OBJECTIVE: Lipomas is benign tumors of mesenchymal origin and. In the high aerial-digestive treatment 100 cases had been described up to 2010. Although to have slow growth, they provide compressive symptomatology of the adjacent, similar structures to other local disease. However it is of great importance its knowledge for the otolaryngologists to perfect the practical clinic. CASE REPORT: Masculine patient, 75 years, complaining of globus pharynx and dysphagia. It denied dyspnea and dysphonia. Without co-morbidities. History of larynx resection of lipoma has 06 years. To the physical examination did not present significant alterations. To the submitted being the videolaryngoscopy proved mass re-covered for mucous of habitual aspect in topography of right pear-shaped sinus. In the computerized tomography presented material with density of soft parts occupying pear-shaped sinus right and right portion of region retrocricoid without alterations in adjacent fabrics. Then the laryngoscopy of suspension with excision of the injury in its totality for intraoral access was submitted. The posterior histological study demonstrated that the injury had impressive volume and was constituted of fabric fibre-adipose. It was remained without complications after operative and got resolution of the initial complaint. The resection after keeps periodic ambulatorialy pursuing without evidence of return of injury 01 year. CONCLUSION: Lipomas is benign tumors of rare localization in high aerial-digestive treatment. For presenting similar symptomatology to other injuries, they need a diagnostic inquiry with complementary examinations for its distinguishing diagnosis. The treatment of choice is the surgical one being the option of the way of access based on the characteristics of the injury and the objective of not the recurrence of the same one.
