Dear Colleagues,

This edition accomplishes the tenth year of continuously publication of our journal celebrated in 2006. As previously mentioned, the three best original articles published in 2006 were selected after an arduous selection task with an expressive participation of evaluators who comprise our editor board.

All authors of the selected articles will receive allusive certifications to such award, in addition to free enrollment for the next congress of the Fundação de Otorrinolaringologia, which will take place in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the following December. In addition to this, the first author of each original article will even receive a special award for the study developed.

The most voted articles in 2007 were the following ones:

- Acoustic Measures for the Detection of Hoarseness in Children - Volume 10, Issue 1. Authors: Geraldo Pereira Jotz, Onivaldo Cervantes, Flávio Aurélio Parente Settani, Elisabete Carrara de Angelis;

- Myofascial Trigger Points: Occurrence and Capacity to Modulate Tinnitus Perception- Volume 10, Issue 3. Authors: Carina Andréa Costa Bezerra Rocha, Tanit Ganz Sanchez, José Tadeu Tesseroli de Siqueira;

- Mate (Ilex Paraguariensis) as an Etiological Agent of Neoplasia in the Aerodigestive Tract. An Experimental Study - Volume 10, Issue 4. Authors: Geraldo Pereira Jotz, Honório Sampaio Menezes, Cláudio Galleano Zettler, Rafael José Vargas Alves, Roberto Chacur, Caroline Buzzatti, Mariana Dias de Oliveira, Tiago Hermes Maeso Montes, Marta Hübner, Eduardo Walker Zettler.

We re-inform that such award will be repeated in 2007 for the three best original articles and again then for the best revision article and the best case report. Further details are available in our Internet pages at www.forl.org.br and http://arquivosdeorl.org.br
