Abstract:

Objective: to study a sample of the acoustic environment the one that if they display the policemen military of the "Central office of audiologic Military Operations Police" and to characterize the profile of them. Material and Method: the measurements of the environment noise had been carried through in 10º Battalion of the Military Policy of the city of Marília-SP, projected for the hours of working of 8 hours. The dosimeter Svantek- SV102 with simultaneous measurement of two distinct profiles was used uses as reference the NR-15e the NHO1, the microphone was inserted in the external acoustic meatus to catch the noise of the phone operator, also had been evaluated the Otoacoustic Emissions for Product of Distortion (EOAPD) of 13 policemen. Results: the weighed maximum time based NR-15 varied of 58, 83 the 77,33 dB and in NHO 01 varied of 70, 81 and 95.61 dB. The based registered dose in the NR-15 varied between 3,21% and 34,54% and in NHO 01 between 3,81% and 1149,76%. The EOAPD had shown that 38.43% of the policemen had presented alterations in at least one of the ears, being able to indicate the beginning of induced auditory loss for the noise. Conclusion: the measurements had been few that had exceeded the considered one for norms NR-15, NHO1 being above mainly the considered one for NBR 10152, in compensation the few doses that had exceeded tolerated 50%, had been extremely high. When comparing the results of the measurements of the noise environment with the EOAPD, notice that although the noise to be below of considered for the norms it can cause damage to the auditory system of these professionals, being necessary to adopt measured corrective.
