Abstract: |
OBJECTIVE: TO REPORT A CASE OS SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA OF ORBIT AND THE TREATMENT DONE EXTENSIVE SERVICE IN ENT HOSPITAL SANTA CASA OF CURITIBA - PUC-PR. CASE REPORT: RATG, FEMALE, 97 YEARS OLD, WITH OPHTHALMOLOGY SENT MASS DUE REDDISH POINTS AND NECROSIS IN EYELID BOTTOM RIGHT OF RAPID GROWTH AND PROGRESSIVE, 1 MONTH AGO. HE COMPLAINED AN INTENSE PAIN AND BLEEDING. THE EXAMINATION, ABOUT INJURY OF 6 CM HARDENED, RED, AND POINTS WITH NECROSIS BLEEDING AND LOWER CONJUNCTIVE ULCERATION. NO OTHER CHANGES. PATHOLOGY ANALYSIS (JANUARY OF 2012): POORLY DIFFERENTIATED MALIGNANT NEOPLASM, INVASIVE IN TISSUE AND MUSCLE. IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY (January of 2012), CONSISTEN WITH DIFFERENTIATED EPIDERMOID CARCINOMA INFILTRATINF FIBROMUSCULAR TISSUE. CONSIDER THE ORIGINAL REGIONAL SQUAMOUS SKIN OR MUCOUS. SURGERY PERFORMED WITH TUMOR removal, ENUCLEATION ORBIT OF RIGHT AND GRAFT ABDOMINAL SKIN FLAP IN FEBRUARY OF 2012 WITH SUCCESS. ANATOMOPATHOLOGICAL POST-SURGICAL (FEVEREIRO OF 2012): MALIGNANT NEOPLASM POORLY DIFFERENTIATED, PLEOMORPHIC, WITH EPITHELIOID AND SARCOMATOID, COMPATIBLE WITH SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA POORLY DIFFERENTIATED INFILTATRING SKIN, SOFT TISSUE OF ORBIT AND EYEBALL. PRESENCE OF AREAS OF TUMOR NECROSIS OF PERINEURAL INFILTARION. PHTISIS BULBI ASSOCIATED. FREE MARGINS. CONCLUSION: THE MALIGNANT NEOPLASMS OF HEAD AND NECK ARE ONLY 3% OF CASES OF CANCER, AND SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA (CEC) LESS FREQUENT THAN BASAL CELL CARCINOMA (CBC). THE CEC REPRESENTS ABOUT 15% OF MALIGNANT TUMORS OF SKIN AND HAS METASTATIC POTENTIAL ESPECIALLY FOR CERVICAL LYMPH AND PAROTID. CONSIDERING THE PROGRESSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF TUMOR ASSOCIATED REPORTED TO LOCAL IMPORTANT PAINS COMPLAINT, WAS CHOSEN SURGICAL TREATMENT DESCRIBED.
