Abstract:

The Mucocele is a benign cystic lesion that affects the sinuses, has slow growth and expansive characteristics with bone resorption. Eventually, it may compromise surrounding structures such as orbit and intracranial cavity. We report a case of frontal sinus Mucocele developed several years after facial trauma, involving the orbit and visual symptoms. Despite its apparent benign nature, the destructive potential of Mucocele is necessary to the regular monitoring of facial trauma involving the paranasal sinuses and their prompt removal, thus avoiding the emergence of serious complications.
