Key words:
stapedotomy, otosclerosis.
Abstract:

The stapedotomy is a very delicate surgical procedure, whose success is straight correlated to the number of surgeries performed and to the regular dissections of cadaver specimen. The training on the temporal bone is not always possible, since there is not fixation of the stapes in the oval window and, when we try to remove its superstructure, footplate fragmentation or total stapes removal ocurrs. We developed a method of stapes fixation with cyanoacrilate ester, that allow us to perform the procedure in such a manner as done in otosclerosis surgery.
